Off Brand Team is an independent, fan-made brand and home of the Legally Distinct League. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to the National Football League, any of its member clubs, any professional or collegiate sports organization, or any of their respective owners, players, mascots, or licensors. All of those parties are wonderful and litigious and we wish them nothing but success and distance.

We don't use their stuff.

Our products do not use any team names, team logos, official league marks, or registered slogans. The logos, league insignia (including any “Not For Licensing” badge), product names, and phrases on our products are original works created by Off Brand Team for the Legally Distinct League as parody.

What we do use, and why it's fine.

We use colors and city and regional names to describe who a product is for. Color combinations are not protectable as trademarks, and geographic terms used descriptively (“a tail for Cincinnati football fans”) are nominative — they tell you the intended fan, they don't claim to be an official product. Any resemblance our original designs bear to existing marks is intended as commentary and parody, and is purely coincidental, and heavily implied.

Trademarks belong to their owners.

All third-party team names, league names, and marks that may be referenced descriptively anywhere on this site remain the property of their respective owners. Reference is not affiliation.

Safety, because it's a swinging object.

Our tails are soft plush novelty items. Swing with awareness of the people and drinks around you. Not a toy for children under 3 (small parts / long cord-like shape). Adult supervision recommended for kids. Don't swing near faces, screens, or anyone's beer. You assume responsibility for how enthusiastically you use it.
